The VH-5C is perfect for small parts machining by utilizing standard 5C collets from 1/64" up to an 1-1/8". Or easily spin on a 6", 3-jaw chuck to the 2-3/16" threaded spindle nose for holding larger parts. The VH-5C comes standard with a manual lever handle and draw tube to close the collets. We also offer an optional air collet closer for greater holding force. Just flip a lever and the collet clamps your part securely, consistently all with less operator fatigue.

The Index Designs VH-5C head is built from top-quality components and has been engineered to provide robust operation without sacrificing accuracy. The gear set uses throated helix gears for greater contact area to reduce gear wear and absorb shock loads which in turn helps maximize gear life and maintain accuracy over a longer period of time. A dual adjustment design provides optimal gear mesh to further enhance the performance and accuracy of the gear set. AC brushless motors used in the 5C eliminate maintenance associated with brush replacement.

The Index Designs VH-5C is a true 4th-axis 5C collet head, complete with compatible servo motor, and 9' extension cables ready to plug into your 4th-axis ready CNC machine. Price includes manual handle collet closer.

Don't need true 4th-axis? Just need point-to-point indexing? A cost-efficient solution for any CNC machine that is not 4th-axis-ready. This single-axis, programmable control box will add indexing or semi-4th-axis capability to any machine. It can be easily interfaced using a spare M-code from your CNC machine. Indexing position moves to practically any angle are programmed directly through the front panel of the control box and are triggered by an M-code, or utilize the control box's DNC function to run a complete machine program file from a USB key.
